Town Seeded for UEFA Draw - Ipswich Town News
Town have been named as one of the 42 sides seeded for the UEFA Cup first round draw. This will mean the Blues will miss out on one of Europe's big guns at the first time of asking and increases the chances of a longer European run.
The first round draw will be held in Monaco on August 24th with 96 teams in the hat. The first leg game will be on September 13th with the return match two weeks afterwards.
Town manager George Burley said of the seeding: "It is pleasing to be recognised as one of the top clubs in Europe."
