Portsmouth Coach Kidd Linked - Ipswich Town News
Former Manchester United coach Brian Kidd is being linked with a backroom role at Portman Road under Roy Keane's management. Kidd, 59, was rumoured to have been targeted by Keane when he was putting together his coaching staff at Sunderland in 2006.
Kidd, who also coached England in the Sven-Goran Eriksson era, instead joined another former United man Bryan Robson at Sheffield United and is currently working with Paul Hart at Portsmouth, where a new management team are expected to be appointed at the end of the season.
The former England international midfielder coached under Sir Alex Ferguson during much of Keane's time at Manchester United. He has also coached at Blackburn and Leeds.
Keane has already named Tony Loughlan, a former team-mate at Nottingham Forest who was also with him at Sunderland, as his Town first team coach.
