Miller Set for Sheffield Wednesday - Ipswich Town News

Sheffield Wednesday are the favourites to sign out-of-contract Town midfielder Tommy Miller, TWTD understands. The 30-year-old, in his third spell with the club, is expected to be shown the door by new manager Roy Keane, who also allowed Miller to leave Sunderland when he was boss at the Stadium of Light.

One report this morning claims Miller and Iván Campo have already been told that they can leave the club with both players left out of the 16 which took on Coventry on Sunday.

Miller has spoken to a number of Championship clubs in recent months, while his former club Hartlepool and Leeds United both showed an interest, but it appears Wednesday is his most likely destination. The Owls were one of the clubs also chasing Miller when he re-joined the Blues from the Black Cats in the summer of 2007.

Campo signed a one-year deal last summer with a second year triggered when the veteran Spaniard made a set number of appearances. The 35-year-old has been in and out of the side this season and it would be little surprise if the new management team off-loaded the talented but erratic former Real Madrid and Bolton player.

Boss Roy Keane has said he will talk to the 13 out of contract players regarding their futures this week, although he said over the weekend that he had already made the situation clear to one or two members of the squad.

Town's two loan players Moritz Volz and Giovani Dos Santos are both widely expected to leave the club.
