Rhodes Wins PFA Fans' Player of the Year - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Jordan Rhodes has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Year for League Two for his loan spells with Brentford and Rochdale. The 19-year-old netted seven goals in 14 games for the Bees and two in five for Dale.

The striker, who previously won the PFA Player of the Month for March, says he particularly enjoyed his time with Brentford, who went on to win League Two: "It was absolutely brilliant and I loved every minute of it.

"From the kit man through to the fans who came to watch us train and play, all the way through to the players, manager, chief executive and chairman, everyone made me feel really welcome. It is a great club and I have gained so much from my time there."

Rhodes's season was curtailed by a broken metatarsal but fellow Blue Billy Clarke stepped into the breach and scored six goals in eight games for the Bees.

Steven Gerrard was named PFA Fans' Player of the Year in the Premier League, while Sheffield Wednesday's Marcus Tudgay won in the Championship and Jermaine Beckford of Leeds picked up the League One award.
