Bart-Williams Linked - Ipswich Town News

Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Bart-Williams is the latest name to be mentioned in connection with Town. The 26-year-old defender or midfielder has been transfer listed at his own request with Town, Everton and Leicester reported to be interested.

He has one year of his contract with Forest to run and is likely to cost around the £2 million mark.

Former Town striker Jonas Axeldal has been released by Cambridge United. The ex-Foggia player had a bad run of injuries this season and new boss John Beck says he simply cannot afford to keep him on.

Beck said: "It was a very difficult one for me because I haven't had a chance to see the boy at all, but because of how tight the budget is I've had to release him."

A Julio Enciso stunner grabbed a point as Town and Hull City drew 2-2 at the MKM Stadium. The Blues dominated the first half, going in front via Florentino Luis on 22 and were also denied a very strong penalty claim and a second goal in controversial circumstances by the officials. The Tigers improved late in the first period and were the better side in the second when Tim Iroegbunam and Oli McBurnie netted on 58 and 68 to give the home side the lead, before Enciso smashed a brilliant leveller in the 74th minute as Town ended the game strongly.
