Rhodes on Way to Return - Ipswich Town News

Striker Jordan Rhodes is making a good recovery after recently undergoing surgery on the broken metatarsal which ended his loan spell at Brentford. The frontman won the League Two Fans' Player of the Year for his performances while with the title-winning Bees.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Jordan was told by the specialist last week that there are good signs of healing and he's now free of crutches and the protective boot he has been wearing.

"Over the next three or four weeks he will be doing swimming, cycling and gym work before his rehab really starts to push on in earnest in June.

"We will be looking to get him out on the training ground and taking part in the football drills by the end of that month in time for him to join up with the rest of the squad for pre-season training."

Rhodes, 19, will be looking to break into the Town first team on a regular basis during 2009/10.
