Peters in Canada Squad - Ipswich Town News

Jaime Peters has been named in the full Canada squad for their friendly in Cyprus on May 30th. The 22-year-old broke back into the Town team at the end of the season after a lengthy absence.

Peters has previously won 15 caps at full level, scoring one goal, but hasn't been capped by Canada since June 2008.

Earlier this month, the winger-turned-full-back told TWTD that he was hoping for a return to the squad in time for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, where Canada face Costa Rica, Jamaica and El Salvador in the group stages: "Stephen Hart is the caretaker-manager and he's taking the next few games. I've spoken with him and we'll see what happens and take it day by day.”

Meanwhile, striker Ray Warne, who played for the Blues between 1950 and 1952, has died at the age of 79. The frontman scored 11 goals in 30 games.
