Makeover for Playford Road - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands that Town's Playford Road Training Centre will undergo a significant makeover this summer in addition to the changes implemented by manager Roy Keane.

The new Blues boss recently revealed that he wants an office at the training ground, while a card entry system is being introduced to increase security in the wake of thefts from Playford Road in December.

Town chairman Marcus Evans is also splashing the cash on redecorating and refurnishing the building, as well as landscaping some outside areas. London-based architects BLDA will be co-ordinating the project.

Reports earlier today indicated that the Blues would be spending £400,000 on the revamp, although we understand that figure is higher than Evans plans to pay out.
