Walters and Norris Linked With QPR - Ipswich Town News

Jon Walters and David Norris are claimed to be targets of former boss Jim Magilton now he has taken over at QPR. Magilton was named the new manager at Loftus Road yesterday.

The Northern Irishman is also said to be after Sunderland's Paul McShane, a player he tried to bring to Portman Road in 2006 and who has again been linked with the Blues this summer.

While Magilton is an undoubted admirer of all three, the story looks to be nothing more than the inevitable speculation which appears in the wake of a manager changing clubs.

Walters is contracted to Town until 2012, Norris until 2011, while McShane's Sunderland deal is up in 2010.

Meanwhile, former Blue Shefki Kuqi says he will decide his future after this week's internationals with Finland: "I will decide on what I'm going to do as soon as these two games are over.

"I want to focus my concentrations on the games against Lichenstein and Russia first.”

The out-of-contract Crystal Palace striker has been offered a new one-year deal at Selhurst Park, but is reported to have agreed to join German second division side Koblenz, the club where his brother Njazi, a one-time Town trialist, currently plies his trade.
