QPR left-back Damien Delaney says he is unsure where his future lies but appears interested in joining up with footballing legend and fellow Corkman Roy Keane at Portman Road.
Our QPR sister site LoftForWords was first to break the news that Town are chasing the Irish international a week ago.
Speaking prior to Jim Magilton's appointment as the new manager at Loftus Road yesterday, Delaney said he "didn't know what was happening" with his proposed move. The Blues understood to have made an enquiry regarding a switch which is likely to cost Town somewhere between £600,000 and £1 million.
Delaney is a fan of Keane, but says he doesn't know him well: "There's not much you can say extra about Roy Keane, is there? He's Roy Keane and a bit of a legend - but we've only met a couple of times.
"I don't want to go shooting my mouth off about Ipswich without knowing whether they really want me - and whether Rangers want to let me go. It's one thing to be wanted, it's another for clubs to agree a transfer."
QPR made the former Hull man available at the end of the season, but Magilton's appointment as manager may change that situation.
Meanwhile, former Blue Dean McDonald has signed for British Gas Business League Premier Division side Farnborough after leaving Tooting and Mitcham United after a short spell at the end of last season.
