Clegg Meets Supporters' Groups - Ipswich Town News

Chief executive Simon Clegg has held meetings with the official Supporters' Club and North Stand-based fans' group Section 6 in part to work on ways to improve the Portman Road atmosphere.

Clegg told the club site: "It's vital the fans have a voice in what goes on at Ipswich Town and this was the first of what I intend to be a series of regular meetings with the Supporters' Club.

"We discussed a number of issues, including ways of adding to the atmosphere at Portman Road on match days and we will be working alongside the Supporters' Club and Section 6 to look at a means of 'turning the volume up' at Portman Road."

Supporters' Club chair Liz Edwards was happy with the meeting and the plans for ongoing dialogue: "We have welcomed the invitation from Simon to talk about match day from supporters' perspective and look forward to adding our input in future discussions on this and a range of other issues."
