Town Side to Face Debenham - Ipswich Town News

Town are close to agreeing a pre-season friendly with Debenham LC. A Blues XI, likely to be a reserves side, has been pencilled in to face the Ridgeons League First Division team at Maitlands on Monday, 27th July.

Roy Keane's squad play a senior friendly at Charlton Athletic the following day.

Meanwhile, tickets for the Blues' game at Finn Harps go on sale tomorrow via the Irish club. Town will not have any tickets on sale, but the match isn't expected to sell out and fans can pay on the day.

Seats in the stand cost €20 (£17) but are likely to be sold out ahead of the day of the game, while terrace tickets are priced at €15 (£12.80), €10 (£8.50) for students/OAP and €5 (£6.40) for children under-12. You can find more details on Town's pre-season games here.

Elsewhere, it's a quiet morning on the Town transfer gossip front. Reported Blues target Lee Martin has been linked with Leeds United, while Bristol City have previously been claimed to be interested in the Manchester United winger.

Former loanee Giovani Dos Santos is said to be a target of Turkish side Galatasaray, who are managed by his former Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard. At the weekend, Dos Santos was linked with a return to the Catalonian city with Espanyol.

And Tony Mowbray is still to be confirmed as Celtic's manager with West Brom and the Bhoys having so far failed to agree a compensation package which would facilitate the former Town skipper and coach moving to Parkhead. The Baggies are believed to want £2 million for Mowbray's services.
