Casement Joining Dundee - Ipswich Town News

Released Town defender Chris Casement is set to join Scottish First Division side Dundee. The Northern Irishman, who recently won his first full international cap, was told had no future with the Blues at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will sign on the dotted line at Dens Park next week with his Town contract officially ending on June 30th.

Casement, who was in Town's 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning side, previously spent time in Scotland on loan at Hamilton Academical. He ended last season with Wycombe Wanderers, who were also amongst a number of clubs keen to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson recently dismissed reports claiming that his club were interested in signing the Belfast-born right-back or central defender and the also released Dean Bowditch and Dan Harding.
