Peters Wins Cap - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Jaime Peters won his 17th Canada cap yesterday as his side beat Guatemala 3-0 in a friendly California. The match was a warm-up for the CONCACAF Gold Cup which gets under way on Friday.
Peters started the game and was replaced in the 56th minute as Canada's caretaker-manager Stephen Hart sought to give most of his squad a run out.
Canada start their Gold Cup campaign with a group game against Jamaica, then face El Salvador on Tuesday before completing their first stage fixtures by taking on Costa Rica next Friday.
