Keane Hits Out at Bristol City Boss - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Roy Keane has told Bristol City manager Gary Johnson to "mind his own business” after the Robins chief revealed earlier in the week that he expected Manchester United winger Lee Martin to join the Blues.

Johnson had targeted the out-of-contract 22-year-old but gave up the chase after learning of Town's interest, citing the player's relationship with Keane: "He's very close with Roy Keane and I think he'll end up with him. There was interest initially from us, but we pulled out very early."

The Blues boss hit back in no uncertain terms, telling the ex-Newmarket Town manager to concentrate on Bristol City's affairs: "He should mind his own business and focus on signing his own players."

Meanwhile, former Town keeper Kelvin Davis will complete his free transfer move from Southampton to West Ham on Monday, according to reports. Davis underwent a medical at Upton Park earlier this week.

Alan Lee is reportedly close to joining Norwich City from Crystal Palace. The turncoat striker spent time on loan with the Canaries towards the end of last season, but failed to prevent them from dropping into League One.
