Finn Harps keeper Ciaran Gallagher joined the Town squad for training at the Irish club this morning after impressing in last night's friendly, which the home side won 2-1.
Gallagher played the full 90 minutes for Harps last night and caught the eye of the Town management.
The 17-year-old, who has been capped at U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels by the Republic of Ireland, joined Richard Wright and Shane Supple for this morning's session with keeper-coach James Hollman.
Town return from Ireland today before flying out to Portugal for their four-day training camp.
Meanwhile, rumours circulating amongst Barnsley supporters claim Town's Alan Quinn is being targeted by the Tykes. Quinn is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2011.
Elsewhere, former Town loanee Alan Mahon has rejoined his first English club Tranmere from Burnley.
Keeper Kelvin Davis is said to be on the verge of completing his free transfer move to West Ham from Southampton.
