Burley on Kachloul - Ipswich Town News

Whilst refusing to confirm whether Hassan Kachloul is the player he hopes to sign this week, George Burley has made a comment on the Moroccan. The player's agent is currently reported to be in talks with Town, Villa, Derby and Celtic.

Burley said: "It is up to him who he talks to, but we will continue to look at what is available. We are looking at a number of options although there is nothing concrete as yet."

Town are also being linked with Anderlecht's Tomasz Radzinski. We hadn't had a Belgium-based link for five days so we were due another one. Radzinski is a 27-year-old Polish-born striker who played for the Canadian international side until he fell out with the coach, which doesn't seem untypical of him.

He wants to leave Anderlecht, but is keen to go to the Spanish League with Barcelona his preferred destination, athough he has been linked with Pablo Couñago's old club Celta Vigo. Can't see him coming to Town.

Sven-Goran Eriksson will visit Town's training facilities during pre-season as part of a fact-finding mission to check out all Premiership clubs. Sven is no stranger to Town's training pitches as he was a frequent visitor to Portman Road to pick up coaching hints from Bobby Robson, once even sitting on the bench for a game.

Sven will also use his tour to improve relationships with Premiership managers.

We've got some up-to-date photos of the North and South Stands up. The South is starting to acquire the terracing on which the front thirteen rows above the existing tier will be placed while the North is now completely flat.
