Haynes Set for Bristol City - Ipswich Town News
Town have accepted a bid from Bristol City for striker or midfielder Danny Haynes, according to a report this morning. Haynes is said to be at Ashton Gate today to discuss personal terms and to undergo a medical.
Over the weekend, Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock denied that he was set to make a £1 million offer for the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Swansea City.
Haynes, contracted to Town until 2011, failed to win a regular first team role last season - scoring only twice, both in the Carling Cup - and appears well down the pecking order at Portman Road, both as a striker and as a right midfielder.
The size of the fee is not reported, but it's unlikely to be anywhere near the £1 million claimed to have been offered by Plymouth.
