Barnsley Confirm Quinn Interest But Deny Bid - Ipswich Town News

Barnsley boss Simon Davey has confirmed that he has made an approach for Town midfielder Alan Quinn, but says the move has gone no further than talking to his agent. TWTD first reported the Tykes' interest in the Irish international a fortnight ago.

A national newspaper claimed yesterday that a fee of £200,000 had been agreed by the clubs, however, Davey says this is not the case: "I've not made an offer for Quinn. I have spoken to his agent, but there's nothing happening."

Elsewhere, Town are again said to be ready to grab Manchester City's Ched Evans ahead of Sheffield United, as per weekend reports, while the link with Carl Hoefkens from Monday has also been picked up by a number of other sources.
