Swans Hopeful on Pablo Deal - Ipswich Town News
Swansea boss Paulo Sousa says he is hopeful that Town striker Pablo Couñago will join his club. The Blues and Swans agreed a fee reported to be £300,000 earlier this week.
Sousa said: "We hope Pablo will join us, but he is not the only player we are looking at. There are other players we have in mind.
"We want to make good deals for specific players and he is one of them. But we have other options and we will keep looking to get the right deal for the team.
"I hope either Pablo or someone else will be coming as soon as possible. I want to get them integrated into my ideas and the team so that they can be ready to bring success to this team.â€Â
Rumours in South Wales claim Couñago, who is likely to have impressed Sousa when scoring for the Blues in the 3-1 win against his QPR side at Loftus Road last season, watched Swansea's 3-1 friendly victory over Dutch side FC Twente at the Liberty Stadium last week.
