Rhodes Completes Huddersfield Move - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Jordan Rhodes has now completed his £850,000 move to Huddersfield. As TWTD reported yesterday, the 19-year-old has signed a four-year deal.

Terriers boss Lee Clark said he is delighted to land his target: "It has been a long time coming. We saw him playing for Brentford last season and we were very impressed and we actually tried to get him then.

"When Jim Magilton was in charge we contacted Ipswich to try and get a loan deal done when the window was open, but he'd just picked up a metatarsal injury at the time and his season was over. We've just kept monitoring the situation since then and we're absolutely delighted to get him on board.

"His goal ratio in the games he has played and the minutes he has been on the pitch is very good, but it is his all round game that is very impressive. He has a very good touch and works extremely hard and works the line well. The main attribute is that more times than not he finds the net, which is the most important thing.

"I couldn't be more happy with the four strikers I've got now. There is competition for places and over the course of the season the four of them will be used and it gives me great scope to have terrific fire power coming off from the bench as well. They all have different qualities and I believe that all four can score goal in this division."
