Arsenal First Day - Ipswich Town News
A number of sources, some trustworthy, are claiming that the provisional fixture list for the first day of the season sees Town make a trip to Highbury. Town have asked for an away game first day of the season to allow as much time for work on the North Stand to be completed.
If the reports are correct the first weekend will see these games:
Arsenal v Ipswich Town
Blackburn Rovers v Newcastle Utd
Bolton W v Liverpool
Chelsea v Leicester C
Everton v Southampton
Leeds Utd v Middlesboro
Man Utd v Derby
Sunderland v Charlton
Aston Villa v Spurs
West Ham v Fulham
The list, if right, is still subject to change as the police and clubs will have to approve them. The new season fixtures are officially released on Thursday, when they will appear on the TWTD site.
