Villa Confirm Kachloul Deal - Ipswich Town News
Aston Villa have confirmed that they have signed Hassan Kachloul on a three-year deal subject to a medical. The player had talks at Villa Park today after previously agreeing to join Town.
There is no word from Town as yet, but a statement will be released later this afternoon and we understand that the first the Blues knew about the player's change of mind was via TV reports.
Of his side's capture John Gregory said: "We’re just delighted that he’s chosen us ahead of some very formidable opposition. He’ll bring other options to us. He’s a competitive player, he’s versatile in as much as he can play anywhere in the front six positions. Right hand side, left hand side, he can play there. He’s got a lot of ability and I’ve always kept a very close eye on him. The fact that he’s also a Bosman obviously made the deal even more appealing.
Of Town he said: "The fact that Ipswich Town were preparing to sign him is another indication of the high regard he is held in, in the Premiership."
