Norris Out for Up to Five Months - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder David Norris has been ruled out for up to five months with the knee injury he sustained at Coventry on Sunday. The ex-Plymouth man collided with team-mate Jon Stead during the second half of the 2-1 defeat.
Norris underwent a scan on Monday and will see a specialist later this week. It is expected that he’ll require surgery.
Manager Roy Keane says Norris’s absence is a blow: "It will be a big loss. He is a battler and he breaks up the play well and gets things going from there.”
Yesterday, Keane was quoted as saying that he had finished making his transfer window purchases but Norris's injury may persuade him he needs more cover with Dundee United's Morgero Gomis strongly linked with the Blues in the last couple of days.
