Wright to Arsenal - Ipswich Town News
Reports this afternoon claim that Town keeper Richard Wright is talking to Arsenal about terms with a fee of £5 million already agreed between the two clubs.
Wright has long been rumoured as a target for Arsenal and his name cropped up again at the weekend as the Gunners failure to sign Pole Jerzy Dudek came to light.
Arsenal are looking for a long-term replacement for David Seaman and Wright looks an ideal candidate. Wright recently signed a new four-year deal with Town.
If Wright does go former Norwich keeper Andy Marshall looks to be the favourite to challenge Keith Branagan for the number one shirt. George Burley has refused to comment on Marshall this summer after the ex-Norwich man was repeatedly linked with Town.
