Reserves Open Campaign Against Peterborough - Ipswich Town News
Town’s reserves will start their Totesport.com Combination League East Division campaign on Wednesday afternoon at Playford Road with the game against Peterborough having been brought forward from February (KO 2pm). Pablo Couñago and Ben Thatcher are expected to be in action as they return from injury.
Thatcher is still on his way back to full fitness after the knee injury which forced him to miss the end of last season, while Couñago picked up a groin problem early in pre-season training.
The rest of the side is likely to be made up of fringe players such as Shane O'Connor, Troy Brown and Jack Ainsley, who are also expected to feature when the first team face the Posh at London Road in the Carling Cup next Tuesday.
