Murphy Deal Back On? - Ipswich Town News
Town’s long-running move for Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy is back on, according to a report in the closing minutes of the transfer window. The Blues are also being linked with a swap deal involving defender David Wright and Reading’s Liam Rosenior.
The Blues have been chasing Murphy all summer with a fee of £1.5 million having been agreed between the clubs. Personal terms have been the sticking point in protracted negotiations.
A report in Berkshire claims Town and Reading are negotiating a swap loan deal involving full-backs David Wright and Liam Rosenior.
There may be less urgency on these moves with loan deals possible in a week’s time when the emergency window opens.
