Rosenior Joining Town On Loan - Ipswich Town News

Reading’s Liam Rosenior is set to join the Blues on loan for the season. News of a potential loan move for right-back Rosenior broke just before the window closed at 5pm on Tuesday.

There is as yet no confirmation from the Football League as to whether that move went through before the deadline, but if it didn’t the switch is likely to be rubber-stamped when the emergency loan window opens next Tuesday.

Rosenior, the son of ex-Fulham and West Ham player Leroy, started his career with Bristol City, moving on to Fulham for £55,000 in 2003. A loan spell at Torquay, where his father was manager, followed in 2004, and in 2007 he joined Reading for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old has been a regular in the Reading side this season and has made 67 starts and two sub appearances for the Royals, but is yet to score.

According to reports yesterday, Town full-back David Wright was being targeted by Reading to move in the opposite direction. There is no confirmation as to whether this deal is in a similar position to the Rosenior move or if it will occur once the emergency window opens.
