Garvan to Captain Irish U21s - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Owen Garvan will captain the Republic of Ireland U21s for the first time in Wednesday’s European Championships qualifier in Estonia. Garvan has previously won 10 caps at U21 level.
The Irish U21s play on Wednesday afternoon with three Town players likely to be in full international action in World Cup qualifiers later in the evening.
Gareth McAuley’s Northern Ireland take on Slovakia at Windsor Park, Belfast (Sky Sports 3, 7.30pm), while Tamas Priskin’s Hungarians face Portugal in Budapest and Carlos Edwards’s Trinidad and Tobago are up against the US in Port Of Spain.
