No Bid for Hadji - Ipswich Town News
Contrary to claims by Coventry City chairman Bryan Richardson that Town had put a firm bid in for Moustapha Hadji reports now suggest that no bid has been made. A statement from Coventry said that Town and Villa were vying for the Moroccan with Villa the favourites to sign him.
However, it seems that this is not the case and Town merely made an enquiry about the player with George Burley saying: "I have made no bid for Hadji."
With Hadji already stating that he wants to go to Villa it seems unlikely that Town would have got him anyway.
