Nothing Sorted Yet - Burley - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has stressed that although Andy Marshall has been made an offer by Town nothing is as yet sorted. It is believed that the former Norwich keeper is being chased by other clubs with Blackburn and Bolton both linked.
The Town boss said: "Nothing is sorted out yet. We’re in talks with Andy, but the lad is a free agent under the Bosman Ruling and it is understandable that there is quite a bit of interest in him. We know Andy very well. He is an experienced First Division keeper and he trained with us for a time last season. Malcolm Webster knows him inside out. As I say, nothing is concluded as he has other people to speak to."
If he does join Town the deal could go through as soon as next week, presuming that Richard Wright is an Arsenal player by then. If the bid for Marshall fails then Ian Walker and Magnus Hedman are the other players thought to be interesting Town. Hedman, however is said to be interesting two English clubs as well as a number from abroad.
