Clegg: Keane Under No Additional Pressure - Ipswich Town News

Chief executive Simon Clegg says manager Roy Keane is under no additional pressure due to the Blues’ poor start to the season. The Blues currently sit bottom of the Championship and are yet to win a league game.

Clegg said: "There’s been absolutely no change in the situation. Roy and I continue to work very closely together. The three-way relationship between Marcus, Roy and myself is as strong today as it was in the close season. There’s been no change to that.

"But I’m not in any way trying to shy away from the fact that it’s been a hugely disappointing start. The fans deserve better, want better and I can assure you that it’s not through lack of effort on Roy’s part or the team’s part that we’re not delivering

"The manager is under no additional pressure, he’s a man who puts pressure on himself, he knows what he has to achieve.

"I continue to be confident that he will achieve that and that there will be a turning of tide over the next couple of games, and particularly if last night is anything to go by when I saw some really encouraging football.”
