Ipswich ‘Til I Die, the collection of Town fans’ memories published earlier this year, has been nominated for the People’s Book Prize for October in the non-fiction section.
The book, which features a foreword by Sir Bobby Robson, contains more than 40 tales of following the Blues from the 1920s to the present day and gives a unique insight into what it has meant to be a Town fan throughout the generations.
The Ipswich Town Independent Supporters Trust produced Ipswich ‘Til I Die in partnership with Legends Publishing, the National Literacy Trust, Supporters Direct, Ipswich Town's Community Trust, the Department for Children, Schools and Families and the Football Foundation.
Revenue from the book goes to the club's Community Trust and to Ipswich Town Ist for community-based schemes.
The People’s Book Prize is voted on by the public and Trust committee member Jane Summerfield asks TWTD readers to give Ipswich ‘Til I Die their backing: "We hope that people will take the time to vote online and help us to bring national recognition to the book and its brilliant contributors for their wonderful stories, especially since sales continue to support local community causes and have enabled free copies to be issued to local schools.”

Meanwhile, our Football Supporters’ Federation competition to win a copy of the book was won by Peter King, whose email was drawn at random after telling us that Sir Bobby Robson was born in the village of Sacriston.
