Clegg Still Backing Keane - Ipswich Town News
Chief executive Simon Clegg has again backed manager Roy Keane to turn around the Blues’ fortunes. Clegg says the situation hasn’t altered despite Town failing to win in their first 13 league games.
The chief executive said: "Roy's position is exactly the same now as it was at the start of the season. His team is improving with every game and it was a massively positive performance last night.
"But consistent with the season we are having so far, we conceded yet another late goal.”
Clegg was also impressed with the fans: "They were fantastic again. They were chanting his name and are right behind Roy. They are confident he will get it right, and so am I.”
Meanwhile, Town are waiting on news of the injury Jon Walters suffered towards the end of last night’s game. The striker was replaced by Alan Quinn for the final few minutes after limping off.
