Wright in Team of the Week - Ipswich Town News

Town full-back David Wright has been named in the Championship Team of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Derby County. Wright netted the only goal of the game as the Blues ended their winless run of 14 games.

Wright lost his place in the side early in the season but in recent weeks has fought his way back into the team, impressing manager Roy Keane with his attitude: "David Wright is an example to the other players at the football club. You’re going to have your disappointments, you’re going to be left out, players are going to get injured or suspended.

"Wrighty’s kept his head down and is back in the team on merit. It’s not a case of having a load of injuries, he’s back in because he’s kept his head down and showed what a good pro he is.”

Team of the Week: Romain Larrieu (Plymouth), Gianni Zuiverloon (West Brom), Garry Monk (Swansea), Jonas Olsson (West Brom), David Wright (Ipswich), Jobi McAnuff (Reading), Graham Dorrans (West Brom), Yoann Folly (Plymouth), Matt Fryatt (Leicester), Billy Sharp (Doncaster).
