Town Again Linked With Barnet Striker - Ipswich Town News
Town are again being linked with Barnet striker John O’Flynn. The 27-year-old was previously mentioned in connection with the Blues in the summer after former manager Jim Magilton had been spotted watching the Bees.
O'Flynn joined Peterborough United as a youngster but returned home to Cork City where he broke into the first team in 2002, playing alongside former Blue George O'Callaghan, Wolves striker Kevin Doyle and Sunderland's Roy O'Donovan.
The Cobh-born player scored 68 times in 138 games for the Eircom League side with TWTD reporting that he was on Town's radar in July 2007.
Former Irish U21 international O'Flynn, 5ft 11in tall, left Cork for Barnet on a free transfer in the summer of 2008, scoring 18 goals last season. He has netted seven so far during 2009/10.
