Scowy to Leicester Link Renewed (Version 2) - Ipswich Town News

Leicester manager Peter Taylor has renewed the Scowy link with his club. Last season it was rumoured that Scowcroft was a target of the Foxes and again throughout the summer the story has done the rounds several times.

Early in the close season George Burley denied that Scowcroft was going anywhere, although it is believed that the club had received at least one offer for him.

Taylor said: "I admit he is the sort of player we are looking for and, as I have said before, if there was a chance of any such player becoming available we might be interested."

Scowcroft was one of the stars of Taylor"s England U21 side a few years back and the Leicester man is known to rate him very highly.
