Garvan Skippers Irish U21s, Murray Starts for U19s - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Owen Garvan has again been named captain for the Republic of Ireland U21s ahead of tomorrow’s European Championship qualifier against Georgia in Tbilisi.

The Dubliner will win his 14th U21 cap as his side go looking for their first win of their qualifying campaign. The Irish youngsters take on Armenia in Yerevan on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, academy striker Ronan Murray has been named in the starting line-up for the Republic of Ireland U19 side’s European qualifying group game in San Marino against the hosts this evening. Ireland subsequently face Albania on Sunday and Italy on Wednesday.
