Quinn: Wickham\'s Got Everything - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Alan Quinn says he can understand why top Premier League sides are eyeing 16-year-old Town striker Connor Wickham. Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all said to be amongst the top flight clubs keen to snatch Wickham away from Town prior to him signing a professional contract when he is 17 in March.

Quinn says he has never known a player who has been more complete at the same age: "He's got everything. He's got a good right foot, good left foot, he can head the ball, he's a massive lad, strong, has pace and can also finish!

"He's also got the right attitude, so I hope that Ipswich can hold on to him. I've never known any other 16-year-old to be such a good footballer. He's amazing.

"We played an 11 versus 11 match in training this week, and he was unbelievable in that game. He's not even bothered by centre-halves like Gareth and Tommy.”

Meanwhile, Reading boss Brendan Rodgers has denied a report earlier in the week which claimed he was interested in signing former Town striker Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield.
