Balkestein Joins Brentford - Ipswich Town News
Boss Roy Keane has revealed that central defender Pim Balkestein has joined Brentford on a month's loan.
Keane said: "I've got Alex and Damien and with Gareth McAuley and Tommy Smith fit again, we gave Pim the opportunity to go and get some games.
"It'll do him the world of good but we look forward to him coming back, obviously sharper for the benefits of playing league football.”
Bees boss Andy Scott was delighted to make the signing: "We are very fortunate to have been able to take Pim on loan.
"He has played against us for Ipswich in each of the past two seasons pre season friendlies and he likes the way we play. I believe he will be a very good signing and help improve the squad still further."
