U18s to Face Arsenal in Youth Cup - Ipswich Town News

Town's U18s will face the holders Arsenal in round four of the FA Youth Cup, the Gunners having beaten Crewe Alexandra's youngsters on penalties at Barnet's Underhill earlier this evening.

The Railwaymen will count themselves unlucky not to have gone through, having drawn 3-3 after extra-time before the penalty shoot-out ended 5-4 to the Londoners.

Town beat Tranmere 2-0 in their third round tie, Connor Wickham and Josh Carson (pictured) netting the goals.

The fourth round tie, which is also likely to be at Underhill, will be played on a date yet to be set in January.

Earlier in the season the young Blues beat Arsenal 3-2 at Playford Road and also won a pre-season game 1-0 at the Gunners' Shenley Training Centre.
