Scunthorpe Pitch Currently Playable - Ipswich Town News
Scunthorpe United say their Glanford Park pitch is currently playable but that Saturday’s game against Town depends on how Friday night’s frost affects the surface.
Covers have been on the pitch since Wednesday and they should be able to withstand the temperature falling to minus four, Friday’s expected temperature. A greater drop could see areas of the pitch freeze.
The Scunthorpe groundstaff plan to remove the covers early on Saturday and assess the condition of the surface. Referee Andy Haines will be on call for an early pitch inspection if required.
