Hartlepool Confirm Healy Loan Interest - Ipswich Town News
Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner has confirmed his club’s interest in taking Town midfielder Colin Healy on loan in January. Healy was all set to join Pools from Cork City in the summer until Town matched their £70,000 bid and brought the former Republic of Ireland international to Portman Road.
Last week, Town boss Roy Keane revealed that two or three clubs had asked about Healy’s loan availability and Turner says Hartlepool could be amongst the interested parties: "It’s something we will look at. He’s a very good, very experienced player.”
However, Turner is also considering signing Healy’s former team-mate Joe Gamble from Cork City on a permanent basis and says his club wouldn’t be able to stretch to landing both midfielders: "We won’t be bringing both of them in, but we might be able to bring one in.”
Healy has made only four first team appearances since joining the Blues in the summer, the most recent in August, although he has consistently been one of the top performers in the reserves this season.
