McAuley Fine to Face Old Club - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Gareth McAuley has revealed that he broke his wrist at Crystal Palace on Boxing Day and has played the last two games having had injections and wearing a strapping.
McAuley doesn’t expect the problem to hamper him when the Blues take on his former club Leicester at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday: "The bone is knitting together and it will not stop me playing at the weekend. It is the nobbly bit in my wrist and it is no big deal."
The Northern Irishman may not require an injection ahead of his first return to Leicester since leaving them to join the Blues in the summer of 2008.
Meanwhile, Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has been charged with improper conduct by the FA after being sent to the stand for allegedly swearing at officials during Town’s 2-1 FA Cup victory at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
