Falkirk have confirmed that Town midfielder Colin Healy has joined them on loan until the end of the season. The ex-Cork City man underwent a medical this morning and is set to make his debut against his former club Celtic at the weekend.
Falkirk manager Eddie May said:"It has been well documented that I want to add a midfield player and a forward to the squad during the January transfer window and Colin was my first choice midfield player.
"We have been working tremendously hard to secure this one as there were a number of other clubs interested in signing Colin — I spoke with him last week at length and outlined my vision for him at Falkirk Football Club.
"He is a player of outstanding ability and perhaps more importantly is renowned for his determination and winning mentality. You do not earn 13 caps for the Republic of Ireland, as Colin has, without having considerable quality and a real desire.
"Slowly but surely we are creating an environment at this club which demands that we get success, the club and the fans demand that, and Colin will assist us in this area.”
Healy, 29, has made only five appearances for the Blues since joining the club from Cork City in the summer, signing a two-year deal.
