Town Amongst Clubs Watching Livingston Starlets - Ipswich Town News

Town are one of a number of clubs to be keeping an eye on a promising crop of young players with Scottish League Division Three leaders Livingston. The Blues, Rangers, Manchester City, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Preston North End, Bolton, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and Bristol Rovers all sent representatives to Almondvale to watch Livi’s 1-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Dundee on Wednesday.

The youngsters concerned include winger Andy Halliday, who has spent time on trial at Charlton, South African brothers Keaghan and Kyle Jacobs, both midfielders, David Sinclair, also a midfielder, and defender Cammy MacDonald.

Livingston chief Executive Ged Nixon said: "We have received an unprecedented number of requests for tickets from clubs in recent weeks.

"Clubs from the English Premiership, the Championship, League One and also from the SPL as well.

"Although there have been a lot of visits, they haven’t been followed up with concrete offers.”

Also in the Livingston side at present is central defender Paul Watson, who was released by Town at the end of his academy scholarship last summer.
