Keane to Make Lisbie Decision On Monday - Ipswich Town News
Blues boss Roy Keane says he will make a decision on Kevin Lisbie’s future on Monday, the final day of the transfer window. The Town manager confirmed Southampton’s interest in the striker, who is currently on loan at Colchester, but says the Saints signing of Lee Barnard from Southend means that move won’t now happen.
Keane says there is currently no other interest in the 31-year-old: "We had previously but when you have Southampton signing the lad Barnard, obviously they aren’t going to go for Lisbie now.
"At this moment in time, unless things drastically change over the weekend, we’ll probably make the decision on Monday what to do with Kevin.”
Town could recall the ex-Jamaica international, either to play him or sell him if there is an interested party, or alternatively allow him stay at Colchester until May.
The ex-Charlton man, who has scored 11 goals in 25 starts and two sub appearances for the U’s this season, is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2011.
