Priskin Confirms QPR Loan Move - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Tamás Priskin has told the Hungarian media that he will be joining QPR on loan for the rest of the season with the club subsequently also confirming the move. On Friday, manager Roy Keane insisted that the 23-year-old would not be leaving the club during the transfer window but, having given the frontman a rare start at Preston on Saturday, has changed his mind.
Priskin says the clubs have agreed a deal which will see him go to Loftus Road for the remainder of the season: "I am pleased that the agreement has been made because since the autumn at Ipswich I have played less than I expected. I hope that this will change with my new team.”
The former Watford man, who joined the Blues for £1.7 million is due to meet up with his new team-mates tomorrow.
The Hungarian international, who is contracted to the Blues until 2012, has made 10 starts and nine sub appearances, scoring two goals.
Town hope to complete the loan signing of Daryl Murphy from Sunderland before this afternoon's 5pm deadline.
