Smith Extends Brentford Loan - Ipswich Town News
Town defender Tommy Smith has extended his loan with Brentford for another two months, taking his spell up to the maximum 93 days. Smith’s time with the Bees was due to end after next Saturday’s game against Gillingham.
The Blues have included a 24-hour recall in the deal which will keep the 19-year-old at Griffin Park until April.
Smith, who has made three Bees appearances so far, is looking to play regular football during the remaining months of the season as he aims to seal a place in New Zealand’s squad for the World Cup in South Africa.
