Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington is delighted with striker David Healy’s move to the Blues. The 30-year-old signed on loan for the rest of the season just before yesterday’s 5pm deadline.
Worthington is pleased that Healy will be getting games while with the Blues: "This is a great move for David, and it will ensure he is playing regular first team football.
"It is vital to be playing regularly, especially when it comes to competing at international level.
"This will be a break from the long, arduous spell on the sidelines he has experienced at Sunderland."
Healy has scored a record 35 goals in 78 games for Northern Ireland.
